You see that's what wrong with too many of us (Liverpool fans) each manager comes in needs a chance espiecially Rodgers who is changing the philosophy of the play. Can we honestly say we expected to be comfortably within the top 4 this season in his first season a season of change and trial and error?? Put simply Rodgers has to work with what we have got and sadly its not a great squad we have heart and a good work rate but we need to invest in the summer and rid a few. There is always going to be negative people but give it a break for once maybe at the end of next season "tell me Rodgers isn't the man" come on have some faith for goodness sake!! We may have had some of the worst errors this season but we have also had some of the best team goals and play from our team in years.

But we have a top 6 squad and as long as we are 6th, it would be job done satisfactorily by BR, under 6th will be underperformed and above overperformed, top 4 would have been very well done and Champions a miracle, my opinion. Always said the same thing.

Yes I agree a top 6 finish is more realistic even from the off set it is this summer will be the most important part if FSG do provide the funds then that will determine Rodgers fate and give us a good idea if he is the right guy from who he signs too where we finish up next season. I think we all knew when Rodgers took over its going to take a while. A top 4 finish would be a very good yet but we never know we go out beat Southampton and villa in the next two matches hopefully and some teams may drop points we might be in a better position than we think.

The manager is only limited to the players at his disposal. We've brought in some better players in January and things have started to click. The first 6 months in charge we only had youngsters to fill out the squad and we were a striker short.
So to write him off after 6 months and say he's limited is a joke. Also a joke to expect a top four finish in his first season. No manager, no matter what their pedigree is can work miracles.
Ok maybe we were not the better side against spurs. But how many times have we been the better side and dropped points this season?
I don't think we're that far off top four next season and Rodgers is he man to credit for that. A couple more quality players and we will be competing

BR is yet to convince me that he's the man to take us forward and I think he should be doing better than he is with the squad and resources at his disposal. That said, we are limited as to how far we can go by FSG - even if we bought in a highly regarded world class manager there would only be so far that he could take us with policy and financial restroctions. Without massive spending, 4th place is the upper limit for us.

You might want to take another look at that, Coutinho was dragged down in the first half. Yep, i'll try, don't remember that piece of play

He hasn't convinced me neither, but will if we continue the latest trend until the end of the season, our most difficult game on paper being the home game against Chelsea. The rest are lower teams against whom we've played well recently except WBA and Villa (unacceptable to have such results in the next games as there are no other distractions like cups etc)

Rodgers did well yesterday we all groaned when he took courtino off and brought on Allen on but it worked.

Exactly Rodgers hasn't had the resources from the start the squad was thin he has strengthened it a bit and there's still more to come this summer hopefully if the right money is available or is made up with the selling of some of the squad. I really believe we will be up there also with the right additions in the summer.

I'm happy with the 3 points and I'm not that fussed if we were not the better team yesterday, Spurs have been flying and you have to expect them to give us a tough game. We seem to be scoring goals now and claiming 3 points instead of drawing which was our problem earlier in the season so I go into this next run of fixtures expecting us to claim a lot of points, Arsenal watch out!
