To be honest we won ugly, but winning ugly is a characteristic that all title winning sides need to have. So well done BR and the boys.

Brendan deserves far more respect from the so called "best fans in the world". If you can't be happy with today's result then you must have a seriously depressing life. The manager is limited? I think some of our fans are extremely limited lol and probably far too inadequate to be supporters of liverpool football club. Get a grip ffs that's a biy unfair. i don't think there's a single person who has said they aren't happy with the result. but some people look beyond the result and analyse the performance. in doing so, some fans see things that worry them and express an opinion about it. I don't see anything wrong with that. what would be the point of a forum like this if everyone just posted 'wow, great' after each win.
'I was only in the game for the love of football - and I wanted to bring back happiness to the people of Liverpool.' Bill Shankly
'We should have made a signing or two in the last couple of transfer windows.' Vish

great result. disagree that br should go should he not get 4th. i'd be happy with 6th. if we can hold on to that, i'd be happy for us to hold onto him. personally didn't expect top 4 this season anyway.
we had a bad start to the season in the first 6 games. tought opponents coupled with getting the players used to a new manager's style wasworrying but since then, our form would put us continually on the brink of top 4.

one maybe.
like i said before, delighted with the win, want to finish fourth, want rodgers to succeed, but if i have legitimate doubts im going to point them out, and i dont think that should be such a problem.
unlike the aforementioned "one" im open to being wrong, and would be delighted if i was. i just dont think he is the right pedigree. he has made a lot of improvements and we look a lot better in ways with some good signings, but think he might only get us to a certain level and wont get us all the way.

Perhaps - and it's a projection or evaluation that is as fair as any other. My only problem is the inconsistency in the attribution of blame. If you are going to blame the players inadequacy on the manager - then it is not fair to not attribute praise when they lift their game. I do not think all our problems are down to the manager, who by the way is still in his first season. I see our squad as quite thin in comparison with the teams above us - and severely lacking world class or genuine 30 mil calibre players. Not all of this is BR's fault. I think he has put us in contention to win a lot of games that we haven't, for which I blame our players, who despite being lesser quality than our main rivals, are still largely a bunch of international players (albeit interspersed with some youth). Our senior players have started to perform in the last few games - but they were very disappointing earlier in the season - and have been for previous managers. I think the jury is out on BR until he can compete a bit better with player resources. We have 2 strikers in our squad compared to 4-5 in other squads. We are lacking competition in all positions except perhaps centre midfield. This is not ideal. I would not blame players because it's the managers main job to get the best out of them. Yes, you can have a couple of particular players not pulling their weight in a particular game, but then, it's again the managers job to replace them. If they are all performing below their levels, it would probably be because there is something wrong with the management style. Every now and then, you'll have a player making a mistake which is always possible, but, when it is regular (as us getting caught at the back regularly, or not defending set pieces) I blame the system or not having the right type of players.

Good post Flames.
Your points are interesting and you are just as likely to be right as wrong.
Looking at the last 6 games- 2 draws and 4 wins that shows good improvement though for me. It's also been decent to outstanding performances against all league positions and there are few teams who have demolished lower opposition has well as we have this season are there? A far cry from the last 2 or more years.
I have said a number of times I have massive doubts about the guy but he has had a number of difficulties from those above to deal with which have definitely hindered him and the team and think he deserved some leeway.
Let's give him the next 9 and see where we go. Even if he is learning on the job, it doesn't mean he won't succeed and become much much better. This has to be a massive boost for confidence. Let's hope we don't go and make a right mess in the next game and undo such great positives of late.
Overall though well done BR and the team.

You might want to take another look at that, Coutinho was dragged down in the first half.
