Lucas changed the game when he came on. Anyone who says that Lucas is [oops] knows nothing about how modern football is played.

Lucas changed the game when he came on. Anyone who says that Lucas is [oops] knows nothing about how modern football is played. jonny if you like players like lucas, then get used to batttling for fourth every year, and get used to the europa league. his effort might be recognised but his talent and vision, or lack of it, are a disgrace to the club, and if that means i know nothing about the modern gae then good, because i dont want any part of a game if lucas is supposed to be the poster boy for it. the fact that he is sh*t is reflected in the fact that NO OTHER CLUBS EVER COME LOOKING FOR HIM!! you think you are supporting the club by being positive but you are not, you are condemning them to aston villa like status in the league.

A 2-0 win and Spurs draw and the first post on here is all about the negatives.
It really is getting a little tired and not sure what we are trying the achieve here.
We know that Rafa is here at least until the end of the season so think our efforts would be better spent getting behind the team and thinking about 4th spot.
To be fair though - I do think it's just this forum becuase the majority of fans at the ground are still SUPPORTING the team.

and im tired of people coming on here judging anyone who has a negative analysis of the team. its like the emperors new clothes, anyone who says anything negative is deemed an idiot.
EVERYONE wants 4th, EVERYONE is glad of the points, EVERYONE is supporting the team. but those of us who are willing to speak out about whats wrong with the club are the ones who want to return to where we believe we should be, and where we are promised we will be... competeing for the title and in the CL.And I assume you want that too. but if you expect me to sit here like a clown talking about the positives of Lucas Lieva, applauding ridiculous team sheets and drooling over wayward passes, then think again. To quote RATM< settle for nothing now, settle for nothing later.

I don't consider you to be an idiot at all - and don't think that is implied in my post at all.
I merely pointed out that we won - Spurs drew and all people want to do on here is focus on the negatives.
I don't think it was a brilliant performance but what I am looking for is a bit of progress and I, personally, prefer to look for the positives after every game - even if we lose.
So for me, the performance was better than the Wolves game. Mainly because :-
1. Good second half - felt comfortable and nice to see us in control seeing the game out.
2. Thought Insua played well and looked to get forward where he could.
3. Gerrard was much improved and looked interested.
4. The Greek was relatively solid again
5. Mash looked up for it
6. Lucas did not start !!!
This is not rose-tinted spectacles. As I say - I am well aware that it was not vintage Liverpool and could highlight the negatives but if we constantly look for the negatives and get on the players backs there is only one direction we will go - in my humble opinion.

ok sorry tones. if im being fair my frustration is not at you as much as it is watching us improve 4%, and then decline by 7% then improve again by 2%, week after week. Your positives are valid tones no doubt, and i see them too, but in the grand scheme of things we are fluctuating by small amounts when we really need a mighty leap. i suppose i dont want to advocate in anyway for raffa staying on at this point, hence my negativity. if we compare the performance to the wolves gamew alone, then yes, an improvement. as i said in earlier posts, i thought the buffalo was very good and improving, and mascher was improved. but there was someone on another thread telling me how lucas is the player of the modern game, i mean FFS. my biggest fear is we start to accept the level we are at and start shortening our ambition as a club.

I feel your pain ! and as for Lucas - don't get me started !!
But a step in the right direction, albeit a small one, so let's hope we can build on it.
Everton at home will be a tough game but hopefully today will give them a bit of confidence.

Thought we played OK today. Bolton offer little going forward so it was a nice one to get the confidence going a little. Gerrard looked a bit better, Riera was good, Insua had probably his best game of the season, Aquilani is about to hit some form, Ngog needs someone to play along side and Kuyt is worse than Heskey.
All in all 3 reasonably solid points. Happier but still not properly happy.

I simply say a win is a win is a win dont matter what it looks like who scores or how right now all we have to do is win we can care about how we play when nando and johnson are back i think we are still clear favourites for forth next 3 weeks are gunna be really difficult though
