This is an odd thread - I'm not sure I get the comparison at all. Martinez has less potential than BR in my eyes. He did beat the Blue sh1te today though....
The comparison is simply on the basis that after in inter-galactical manhunt for the world's greatest football manager (something we also claimed to do before appointing Roy), FSG seemed to come up with two feasible candidate in RM and BR. After seemingly weeks of courting RM, BR was appointed.
And with our squad of well paid internationals having failed abysmally in the cups and only an outside chance of 4th (which will cause some to laugh at me too), with RMs team in the cup semi final, it seemed a good point to compare the two and try and understand why we chose BR over RM and what happened when FSG were talking to RM.
