It is indeed. Perhaps even more disturbing though, is in the same season we finished 35 points ahead of Spurs, since then we've spent £100 million more than them and well I think I'm going to cry...

In 2008-09 we finished 4 points behind Manure. Since then we have spent £72 million MORE than them on players and they have also lost the best player in the world during that period. We're now about 400 points behind them. Now admittedly they've not got a bad manager, but it's still some pretty scary numbers. However, it does also show our failure to compete is not down to transfer funds...
this is not a recent problem, the club has been on a downward spiral for years, just quicker in the last 4 or 5. I keep hearing that we are on the way up or that we are improving yet when I look at the way things are its the same at best, we are out of the top four race in early February and this sqaud I keep hearing which is better than West Brom, Everton, Fulham and Stoke has still not been pulling away from these clubs for the last 3 seasons so when do you say enough is enough these so called better squad and players are not really better afterall.

city were once on a downward spiral. so were many teams. we are in a low patch but have to be one of the most salvageable clubs in existence so there's a lot to be hopeful about.

I've got this crazy idea were we stop buying rubbish footballers and actually try spending this money on a few decent ones now and again. You never know, but we might just be alright...

unfortunately decent costs more money and this is against the FSG blueprint, they would like us to be run along the same lines as Arsenal where you unearth gems and then sell them on for a profit, this is why I dont think playing Champions League or winning Leagues is that important to them as long as they make a profit.

We've spent £221,650,000 in the last four years. I'm pretty sure even you could have bought better than the club have with that money...
