Nope not done enough for me Rodgers, can accept league positions from 6 up to 8 because as a Club taking everything into consideration regarding the owners, what there business plan is, wanting to take the cheap way out regarding tarting up the old ground instead of new, trimming the wage bill, no massive money signings, preparing to sell our most profitable player in the summer and looking to take maximum money out while putting as little in I know Rodgers won't go any higher so am satisfied in that respect with 7th place. The big thing for me is the cups, there is no way he should of treated the cups with such destain, the feller was embarrassing with the lack of respect he showed them. I honestly believe we could of took the cups serious, fielded strong teams and had a really good go at trying up win one and still finished in the league where we were going to finish anyway, this is why I don't think Rodgers is the right manager, remember the saying Liverpool Football Club exist to win trophies, just not on Brendan Rodgers watch it seems... You got a link to back that up for us???

am not altogether convinced about avb yet. don't think he's a bad a manager as he looked at chelsea (it's not the easiest of clubs to build a long term strategy with) but am still not convinced about his at spurs. there's no guarantee spurs will finish in 3rd. they could end up in 4th which would be the same as what harry got them last season.
pretty sure bale will go in the summer too so am not sure where that will leave them as a club.
just like giving an opinion on how i feel about BR's future, AVB is much the same. form is temporary, class is permanent

Well fair plat to AVB he's doing very well at Spurs, and in my view was very lucky to be offered a PL job after his shambolic performance at Chelsea, not to mention inherit a good side from Harry. However I wouldn't have chosen him over Rodgers because I felt he showed very poor judgement in accepting a poisoned chalice from Abbromovich in the first place, and I said so at the time. He foolishly risked his career for greed and he didn't need the money, that is mercenary and we don't need that type of manager here, nor is that type likely to accept it anyway as neither the money nor the transfer kitty is likely to be to their taste. Rodgers has done a good job under the circumstances and his heart is in it. I'm optimistic about him and my only concern is that FSG didn't give hip a proper chance with funding in his first season, let's see what they do this summer though.

He'll ask for Mourinho, Klop, or Guardiola.

Personally, I was excited with the Van Gal link in the summer, and I was sad it wasn't implemented. Even as a DOF, I would have like to see him here. BR could learn a lot from him. That said, I think BR is doing well. I like the direction we're going, and I'm excited about supporting Liverpool again.

Agreed, how we do with a decent DOF let alone Van Gal.
I was quite pro-AVB for the job last summer. He had a rough ride at Chelsea and I think mostly made some rookie mistakes, probably taking the job in the first place at such a young age. He's changed the team quite a bit and bounced back after a bad start so fair play to him.
I'm not overwhelmed with BR so far, but he's done 'OK' considering, next season will need a marked improvement. Some positives coming through the last couple months.

So who is the right manager according to you? it's no my job to identify the manager is it, I think by the way we conducted such an embarrassing trawl for a new mananger in the summer said it all about FSG in that retrospect, Van Gaal, Deschamps, Frank De Boer, Villas Boas and Martinez to name just a few all before they got to Rodgers. I honestly think Rodgers was the only one who would put up with the bluepring mapped out by FSG, I think even Dunk said Villas Boas knocked us back due to the restrictions placed on the new man.

We're royally doomed! Again! I dont think we are the only ones myself, football at the top end is getting harder and harder to keep up with the Jones's, you either match the top teams pound for pound or you suddenly drift and get left behind, I think this is what has crippled us. I think the worst part was that when FSG came in they did provide serious funds to get back amongst things however they trusted it to a bumbling idiot which they appointed on a mixture of what the fans sentimentaly wanted and the awful Ian Ayre, this has cost us our future in my opinion and I just dont see how we will ever get out of mid table now, I really cant as much as I would like too...
