If we get 3 points from the Spurs game, then - a) we should make 5th b) we are making good progress and building the foundation for a sucessful 2013/14 season

i'm pretty much siding with stan and coolflames on this. i have many fundamental differences with coolflames. i disagree with the vast majority of his posts in fact but his right, like yours or mine to post on here remains true. if you're wound up by him....it's on you vish. sorry man, i just think that's the way forums are. I don't have any problems with debating with anybody mate as long as there is a debate. What I see is that very often Coolflames post is not for debates, it just says that all is doom and gloom and there are no solutions whatsoever, there is no hope, OOT fans are useless because they will just support other clubs if required, it would be better if we went down, our best player is in fact [oops] and nobody should support him, all our managers have been bad and it will always stay like that, LFC is lost, we shouldn't have any hope etc. I have even asked, so what would he like to see changing and a number of times, but nothing. I just have a feeling that he doesn't have anything to expect in life (at least LFC life) and he wants everybody to feel the same way here. I don't understand the point of his posts but just to disturb or wind up. If you want to debate, then you should also say what changes you want, not just that all is wrong and will stay as such forever, no matter what. If that is the case, then why should there be a forum, all is already cast in concrete and there is no hope.

Then ignore him vish pretty simple really very good advice stanley, that's exactly what I do with posts That annoy me, if you don't have anything good to say about somebody it's best not to say anything, that's far better than being personal or insulting to fellow posters and risking a ban. If people want to look on the good part then fine it's there prerogative, I like to look at concentrating on the nagatives and things we are not so good at and that need to be put right first, you need your positive posters just as much as the more negative ones, one can't exist without the other and people need to remember this, both are equally important on a forum for it to work, I think we have a good blend on here myself...

When you used to play football as a kid ( don't know how old you are ) were you the person who used to take his ball home because they wouldn't let you take a penalty, just enquiring...

There is nothing wrong with looking at negatives as long as you are being critical and demanding a change. Just saying everything is wrong and will stay like this for ever is just being defeatist and hopeless and adds very little to the forum and contradicting yourself doesn't help neither.

Heres an example of one of your contradictions:
You're glad Bale will be staying at Tottenham as he's the best player in the league (Been a beast for the last 6-7 games, before that not much?)
You're hoping Suarez will leave us and is not the best player in the league and is simply having a 'purple patch'.
Please can you 'splain yo' self.

Please can you 'splain yo' self. easy I don't like Suarez so am hardly going to say nice things about the feller or give him the benefit of the doubt am I, people on here would be exactly the same with John Terry, Ashley Cole, El Hadj Diouf or Joey Barton so that clears that part up. The purple patch is a simple one, last season Suarez was hopeless in front of goal he couldn't hit a cows ar*e with a banjo, this season he has played extremely well and I have give him credit, so until he does it season in season out then for me the jury is still open on wether its just fantastic form or he is permanatley good, that's that one sorted. Finaly what do I think we need on order to succeed, well in my opinion we need owners who are going to spend 200 million pounds in the summer and strengthen about 8 positions with top quality, we need a proper captain on the pitch to lead use, similar to what Keane was for United and we need a top class manager who wants to win every trophy we enter not like our current one. I also think we need a new set of supporters who live in the real world, don't brush the problems under the carpet by pretending they don't exist, we also need a majority local fanbase in order to secure an identity for the Club, this can be done by reducing ticket prices and sending tickets around local schools, this will encourage a younger up and coming fanbase which will secure future generations coming through. I hope this clears a few things up...
