interesting stats now got a +19 goal difference and only manchester city have had more shut outs than liverpool , and another stat where are the koptalkers saying Liverpool were relegation fodder certain for the championship under rodgers ???? . Faz, we had a brilliant game yesterday but against a team close to relegation zone and we were lucky of not having conceeded (3-4) with Reina making some great saves. Let's not get carried away, consistentcy is very important, we'll have a true test of where we stand next week. Let's not forget that this season has been one of the worst, being out of every competition in Feb, but it looks like we are on the right track. I had the same feeling twice, before getting beat at home against Villa and after that WBA. I am still worried about our defence and those back passes but the attack is good, I will conclude that we are getting there if we can collect an average of 2 pts per game until the end of the season (including yesterday's win)

I know yeah Suso i know exactly what their like just irks me to see how coolflames judges things by using complete opposites. Can't have it both ways and i think that really busts his balls, anyway i'm delighted with how we played today and cant wait for the Spuds game gonna be a cracker, beat them would send out a message of intent. 10 games to go we can get 5th place i think but 1 bad result could un do that we've been lucky in a sense that with the results we've had in some games this season we shouldn't be even talking about 5th or 6th but i'm quietly confident we'll get either one, and very very confident were gonna pass nEverton. what was your name before u got banned?

I dont think it's about beating Spurs myself, so what if we do beat them it's never been about beating anyone team it's always been about going on a run of wins and we just dont do that, the West Brom game was prime example and so was the Villa game just before xmas, we always have one of these results just waiting to happen...

A few thoughts here reading this thread............
Amazing how sentiment changes from 'we can't beat the lower sides away' (this is exactly the sort of place we were going under the previous 2 managers and being beat) to 'we can only beat those put in front of us'. I'll take that as a positive actually.
Reina was world class today, on another day it may well have been different but you could probably make that case on most given Saturdays with most teams.
We did well without Sturridge which is very positive. With him hopefully in the team next week we should be confident.
There was some very poor individual defending at times, but as a team that was probably the best I have seen us defend and we hustle teams off the ball almost in a pack. You can see the break from Zenit has seen a lot of work on BR's philosophy of the game being driven into the guys.
This 'could' be a pivotal last few weeks and I say that because we are about at that point that the team have been together long enough to 'get' each other and the manager too to be getting his ideas across. That is why I don't agree with your view Cool. I think you would have more weight to your point if we had started with the team we have at the start of the season. We didn't and it does take time to change things.
For those who criticize the manager for not being serious enough in the cups, I'd say it was pretty obvious that comes from above. FSG clearly want the shillings from an improved league position and a charge for top 4 as soon as possible, they don't care about the cups that was made abundantly clear with Kenny's sacking and BR knows a cup win or run will not save his job. I'd be the same if I was in that predicament.
We are improving, and come up against a real real tidy Spurs side next week. As long as we don't lose we may have bounced off the lows the last few weeks and be starting the slow stairs up?

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.
