39 years of age and just been offered a new one year contract when he will be playing attacking mid in the premiership when he is 40. And deservedly so his performances have been outstanding this season the older he gets the better he seems to get and his fitness never wanes.

I know he is a manc and yes I know this is a liverpool FC forum but really what an amazing achievement.

If gerrard can replicate this we might have him for another 10 years.

Despite playing for the wrong team, he's been great for United and like you say hopefully Gerrard can be doing it when he's 40 years old!

Ryan Giggs is a legend of football regardless of who he plays. You have to admire his professionalism over all those and he's a credit to the sport for how he handles himself and for what he's done in football.
Lets hope our own Steven Gerrard can get close to still be playing at this age!
