is luis sarez in the same legend status as keegan, hunt,dalglish ,liddell,fowler or owen ????? yes luis hew has a great season but last season he didnt yes a top player on his day . still baffles me how you can call somebody a legend for us when they have'nt even won the League, there are some great, great Liverpool players won three, four and even five League titles and still not earned the tag legend yet fans want to give it to a mercenery player, who has damaged the clubs reputation and has only had one good season a legend, like I say all about opinions. I will throw a name into the hat as a Club legend who does'nt get the recognised as much as he should " James Robert Case " 4 League titles, 1 U.E.F.A Cup, 3 European Cups, 1 League Cup and 1 Super Cup now come back and tell me Luis Suarez should be put on the same level as him with his one good season under his belt, I would'nt even put Gerrard ahead of Jimmy Case as a Legend myself and Jimmy was a true local lad... What exactly do you mean by the last line? it means Jimmy was a true local lad, don't you know what that means when you hear that

Because Liverpool is a local club for local people...we'll have no trouble here! Warnings have been put up about local/OOT topics. This user has been banned for 1 day. If it happens again then it would be a perma ban. Can't you guys just get along. It's pathetic. if in summer (fingers crossed it doesn't happen) suarez gets sold, would you class him as a club legend after only 2 and a half seasons? do you think he is up there with are best ever strikers eg, torres and rush? He's one of my favourite players of recent times but is a long way off being a legend. He's been excellent so far this season though but let's not forget how wasteful he was last season when most people were criticisng him for needing 10 chances for each goal. To call someone a legend after half a season of brilliance is a bit insulting to players who have earned legendary status after 5-10 years of conistency. have to agree with these points especialy the ones about it being insulting to true legends, I think it's just very sad that a player can play well for one season and straight away be called a legend, modern fans I guess bit like them calling a player world class after a performance rather than a level reached. I think it's also insulting to past true legends when a player such as Suarez is talked in the same breath as Hansen, Emlyn, Lawro and Rushie e.t.c. Who all towed the line, behaved themselves and never brought shame on the Club like Suarez did, surely this plays a part in judging a legend too... Emlyn towed the line? Is that why Tommy smith hated his guts for trying to arrange arsenal throwing a game? Didn't bob say he was glad the bar steward left after selling him? Emlyn was one of liverpool's most loved players, Tommy Smith disliked everyone so there is no case...
