Agreed, last season we played just as well as this season imo, we hit the post/bar like 34 times or so, had they all gone in (very unlikely) then i'm sure Kenny wouldn't have been sacked. Just what does BR bring to LFC that we haven't had before? Press conference's are just as bad as Kenny's, tactics are ok but the "tika-taka" has just about gone out the window, signings bar Sturridge have been appalling, *honest question* - somebody tell me just what is the difference between this season and last? Apart from the fact we still had something to shout for at this point last year (Both domestic cups), now i understand that our league form second half of last season was shocking, but our cup form this season has been shocking AND the league is still over for us. Not berating BR just honest questions and certainly not calling for Kenny back
Cups are a lottery from season to season - even Man Utd doesn't win it every season..
Our first half of the season was poor, I'll admit (new manager / hell of a fixture list) but the second half of last season was the worst I've ever seen.
BR was never my first choice - even realistically, but I'd take him over Roy or Kenny any day of the week - atleast things are looking up on the pitch, we're getting stronger as the season goes on.
The question comes back to "what will it take to sack BR???"
He needs to be going backwards, and I don't see that right now. I just want stability back at the club after the last three or four years - until BR becomes stagnant or makes a meal of it, I'll bare with it.
Sturridge from the start of next season will make a massive difference - add a signing in the summer who becomes an integral part of the squad (say we sign 4 - and one really stamps his mark) we'll be back on the way to where we want to be.
Do I think it's worth sacking Rodgers at the end of the season (whether I adore him or not) No.
Give him the benefit of the doubt, for now.
