This is something i often think about if by some amazing miracle we make 4th spot is our team actually good enough for champions league football.
We all want those European nights like last night but if we play in the champions league we don't want to be embarrassed and knocked out at the first hurdle.
Can anybody see our team face Real Madrid, Barcelona, Athletico Madrid and play a decent game fair enough playing tika taka style in the premier league but playing against the team that invented and perfected that style of play i couldn't see it working... at the moment.
Theres no point being in the champions league for just the sake of being there. We want to win.
Maybe the real reason were not in fourth spot is because were not ready for it.
Well 4th is still possible if now unlikely, so while it's possible i'm not giving up hope till all hope is gone. As to whether we could play the likes of Barca, etc, look what Celtic did and if Celtic can do it we can do it, as far as I'm concerned bring it on, the sooner the better. Too many are too quick to surrender hope for my liking, even Dante reserved such a fate for those poor souls entering the gate's of hell, and while things are bad they aren't that bad, we're not quite at the gate's of hell just yet, so chin up lads and lasses, it could be a decent season yet.
