As for Coolflames / CarheeX (whatever he calls himself) he's been hot air all afternoon, pointing fingers but offering zero solutions - WUM'ing it up big time.

Out of all competitions in Feb is failing, maybe not miserably, but failing nevertheless. Now that he doesn't have any cups as distraction, and as he has spent above 55m, has had enough games to get his ideas through, he has to show his worth and get us to 6th position at least, else for me it would be failing miserably.

Well, no answer regarding alan partridge is relevant to the discussion about BR, otherwise we'll be here all year comparing him to every manager there is, leaving a hugely inconclusive outcome.

Let me re-evaluate....I don't 'necessarily' think BR should be sacked right now - sometimes I take an opposing stance to those who are singing his praises just to play devil's advocate and put some balance into a thread. He's not doing as badly as his biggest critics suggest, and he's not doing as well as his biggest fans suggest. That in itself is a concern to me - the divide on him is so great that he must be doing spectacularly mediocre. There's can be no other explanation. Mediocre isn't always bad, per se, but for a club like us I believe it is.

I'm not going to debate possible replacements right now but I am sure that there are better managers that we could attract who would certainly have us challenging for top 4 within the next 18 months - I don't have the confidence that BR will ever what it takes to get us there and I don't think that Liverpool Football Club should be the guinea pig that tests his abilities - there's too much at risk.
If you look purely at the tangibles, he's doing no better than the man who was rightfully sacked last summer. In all honesty, I don't care if he stays or goes which again, doesn't say a lot about FSG's main man,

Agreed Carheex, what makes me laugh is that if this was Woy, Kenny, Rafa etc we'd want them gone in a heart beat. I like BR i think we should give him a chance but with our season over earlier than any in recent memory it doesn't look good. That said i'm willing to give him until next July and if were not in the top 4 by then i want him out.

Honest question, my ar5e! It's a leading question and I fully expect you to have some kind sarcastic ready-made comeback regardless of my answer, so I'm not even going to bother wasting my time.

I can see both points of view. Many dont see the point in sacking yet another manager only to have a new man arrive and start rebuilding yet again.

On the other hand BR has hardly been a huge success.
Yes we have played some very pretty football at times but we have no cutting edge and our season is realistically over in February.
I think he will probably still be the man in charge when we kick off next season but if we start poorly or we are off the pace at Christmas time then I cannot see how he can continue.

Do we think that FSG care about pretty football though? Most people can see that they probably had an exit strategy in place before they became official 'custodians'. Kenny wasn't sacked for playing unattractive football. He was sacked for tarnishing the image of the club, wasting huge amounts of money and being competitive enough to maximise our earnings. It's all about money for FSG which is why I'm not so sure that they would think twice about getting rid of BR if, in their opinion, things don'k start looking like they are on track.

No really, I wasn't leading at all - honest question.

Answer me this and we can agree to disagree and leave it at that - whether or not you see BR as the right man for the job or not, do you not see any improvement on last season???
