His potential replacement is a different conversation and would take a very predictabel route.....

1) I suggest a replacement
2) BR fans say thathe wouldn't come to us or he's not good enough

I see no point in going down that path in this thread. Regardless of who our next manager might be, BR isn't good enough for us. Finding his replacement is a different issue. You don't just keep someone because their successor cannot guarantee success, otherwise he'll be with us forever!.

He should be kept or sacked depending on what FSG's expectations of him are. If they sack him, great, as it means they plan for us to be in the CL. If they keep him, it just suggests that they are happy hovering around mid-table with their hand picked yes man until they sell up.

You never answered the question.... never even attempted it.

I never said that we should keep BR just because his successor can't guarantee success but I don't see too many options out there that are a definite better replacement than him who would come to us.

For a man who also dismisses other people's points as subjective, you very often dip into those territories as well

Get your head out of the sand! You've acknowledge that we've been in the sh!t for a few years yet you're happy for us to keep a manager that is destined to keep us in the sh!t??? I don't see what that will solve.

The days of beating Liverpool and seeing it as a 'cup final' or giant killing are long gone. A lot of teams have found it very easy to beat us so we're most certainly not a scalp anymore. The bigger scalps are teams above us - and the reason they are above us is because they can deal with the smaller teams supposedly raising their game. You're trying to make it sounde like a good thing that smaller teams can beat us quite easily. I see it as p!ss poor management, preparation and motivation.

Strange for someone who apparently knows it all.. whistle

What I don't get were the two options he gave:

1) Sack Rodgers and get in a better manager (???)
2) Keep Rodgers and end up in mid table for the rest of eternity.

What about a third option:

*Keep Rodgers and continue to improve as he's doing pretty well with what he's had to work with, stabalize the club and get back in amongst the Champion league spots, thus being able to attract better players and push on to bigger and better things.

You have "Nups" to suggest that he will make us a top team again. For now though, let's concentrate purely on FACTS - I'll go first...

1) Rodgers has never won a cup
2) Rodgers has never won a league
3) Rodgers has never managed a big club
4) After 27 games we are in 8th with 39 points
5) Last year (under dalglish) after 27 games we were in 7th with 39 points
6) Rodgers has spent £55m taking us back one place in the league so far... (this could get better, but it could get also get worse)
7) This time last year we had just lifted the League cup
8) This year we were knocked out of the league cup by a smaller club
9) This year were knocked out of the FA cup by a tiny club
10) This season, the only team in the top half that we have beaten is Swansea...reserves

Your turn. Give me 10 FACTS about BR that suggests he's the man for the job and is improving us...

1) They all have to start somewhere

2) Refer to the first point

3) Rodgers has never failed at a big club

4)Points 4 & 5 are the same thing and should be merged.

6)Rodgers has spent only 55mil getting us playing arguably the most attractive football in the league - implimenting a free flowing, attacking mindset along the way

7) I'll give you the league cup - but then how about last years second half league collapse????

8) Points 7 & 8 should again be merged

9) We failed to win the F.A Cup last season too - so that must be a failure in your eyes.

10) WHAM was above us when we beat them earlier this season.

Is that all you've got???? lol
