It depends 'how much' better he does. Whilst Kenny did pretty poorly he did also get to 2 cup finals which is maybe worth an extra league position or 2. Finishing 1 place above Kenny is the bare minimum and shouldn't necessarily be applauded on it's own. After all, it can be argued that the only reason our league form is slighlty better is because BR hasn't taken the cups too seriously. The way I see it, with the players we already had plus the £55m BR has been given there is no reason why we shouldn't finish this season in 6th. There's no excuse if we finish behind swansea, everton, stoke or west brom.

No point replacing a manager unless his successor is guaranteed to do better, Rodgers is doing ok for now and I dont see who else that would come to Liverpool that would be guaranteed to do better. What a ridiculous comment. NO MANAGER is "guaranteed" to do better than his predecessor.

So why start all over again and not just give the manager another year to develop and build? We've don't the same thing for 3 season, it'll cost money, time and give the new manager an excuse for taking time. It always takes time if you start from scratch.

Good managers don't need time - it's just an excuse. Look at what Steve Clarke & Michael Laudrup have done. They've not needed a year or 2 to settle, plus tens of millions to spend or extra time for players to get used to their 'special tactics'.

Different scenarios in that they went into clubs where their predecessor played a very similar style of football to what they did and they built on it.

I disagree. Last season, whilst most people were disappointed with Kenny's results the majority were saying that were at least playing attractive attacking football. Apart from under Hodgsons reign of terror, we have always played that way. BR hasn't brought anything new to the club apart from putting the defence/keeper under un necessary pressure.
Besides, BR himself can be accused of simply building on what Martinez did at Swansea. If that's the case, he has done absolutely nothing to deserve the Liverpool job.

Kenny might have played nice attractive football but it was certainly a lot more route one than BR plays and with far more crosses etc. It is a different formation so there is no real comparison.
BR did build on what Martinez started at Swansea and achieved and maintained premiership status with them. Laudrup has built on that further and looks set to maintain the league status as well as the cup win. I don't get what you're arguing there to be honest? My point was that it was a more seamless transition in both WBA and Swansea's case than it was for BR coming to Liverpool.

Says who? none of us really know what changes each manager has made at their club. Any changes made by BR can only be described as minor tweaks so I'm not sure why people think we need to wait 2 years before deciding if he's any good. All I know is that BR seems to need an awful lot of time to take us nowhere in particular, when other managers are doing far better with samller clubs and fewer resources.

Having said that none of us really know what changes each manager has made at their club, you follow that sentence up with saying that BR has made minor tweaks? I disagree that BR has made minor tweaks but that is subjective. I think he should be given time in the job and my own personal assessment of him will be by judging the first half of the season versus the second half

What a ridiculous comment. NO MANAGER is "guaranteed" to do better than his predecessor. you only think its ridiculous because you want Rodgers sacked, the same when you wanted Dalglish sacked. The perfect example of it was when Benitez was sacked and replaced by Hodgson, everyone knew he would not make any improvements, you either have a top manager lined up or you give the current one a chance to develop his team over a number of seasons.
