I think this giving managers time or we are Liverpool we dont sack managers attitude is harming the Club, why keep a manager for those reasons when he is clearly not up to the job, the longer we stay mid table the harder it is to try and somehow get up into the top 6 as those clubs above stretch there lead...

No, there is..

Revenue and the players we could then attract - plus the confidence it would have built to get there in the first place.

More than happy to sneak in through the back door / other teams letting it slip ect.

Not this season but, sigh..

And with what manager?

Who will come here now and definitely do a better job?

Who do you sign that is certainly better than BR?

The new manager comes in and sprays another 40-50 M on "his" players that are clearly not good enough. Spend another 2-3 years in limbo.

BR is not stupid. Now that he has seen with his own eyes how much "his" players have contributed (=zilch!) he will hopefully not make that kind of mistake anymore. Bringing in Sturridge and Coutinho is clearly a step in the right direction!

You have to keep in mind that we have owners apparently making only limited funds available for new signings. Because of that I think we need to give it a bit more time. Every manager swap costs money, and with limited funds that money will go to new managers signing "their" players who will keep failing.

I must admit, I do like Laudrup, liked him when he was at Gatafe, think Laudrup is poised for bigger things than us in the future tho...

Those aren't reasons for allowing a man to keep his job! If you're boss tried to sack you and you argued that your replacement isn't 'guaranteed to do better', he'd laugh in your face before shoving your P45 up your ar5e and getting security to remove you from the premises.

Pretty sure that would lead to an assault charge.

Maybe, but my point remains the same. You don't keep an employee just because the next man may not be better. BR should be judged on what he does, and measured possibly against the previous manager. If we keep him because his successor isn't 'guaranteed' to be an improvement then he'll be with us until the day he retires!

If he does better in the league than Kenny, will you be happy to give him at least another 6 months?

No point replacing a manager unless his successor is guaranteed to do better, Rodgers is doing ok for now and I dont see who else that would come to Liverpool that would be guaranteed to do better.
