he didn't exactly inherit an amazing side. give him a chance

both imo did nothing besides allen scoring a tap in.

problem is people are excepting this mediocrity, and the more we do the further we will fall,
he inherited a team 8th and on the slide not on the up a team that only won 6 leagues at home only scored 44 goals in the league all season , lost kuyt, bellamy, maxi 3 of the most experienced players thats the team he inherited .

he was given money to replace them he blew it on buying his friends from previous clubs, league form was poor under kenny but it is no better under rodgers, kenny brought silverware something we hadnt seen since 2006, dont get me wrong i think sacking kenny was the correct decision league form was unacceptable, but rodgers was the wrong replacement, hes had a worse season than kenny did (unless he amazingly turns it around) so why should he not get sacked? all rather harsh on kenny dont you think?

kuyt and bellamy had already departed before he took over so we did lose a bit of experience but that was out of the managers hands. we were dire in the league last season and got worse as it went on, the cup runs just clouded our decline.

BR has had to bring younger players through and give them a game. he inherited a young and thin squad. he's had to lower the wage bill and he hasn't exactly had it easy.

how many new faces have we seen this season? sterling, robinson, suso, widsom, shelvey playing regularly. he's getting the best out of our poor players from last season. we're seeing the best we've ever seen of enrique, downing and henderson a combined total of £42m.

with joe allen fair enough he hasn't played well. but what should a manager do in this instance? apart from drop him? thats the exact thing any good manager would do. he came back into the side and managed to get on the score sheet. he's still got time to be improve, lots of time.

when we have a full squad fit, since our January buys i feel we are now a match for anyone. we are improving all the time with a young team and he's only just beginning to assemble his own squad of players.

the problem is the negativity and refusing to see the progress. one loss and we're in turmoil. some liverpool fans are becoming bi-polar these days. its turning into a joke.

progress? so what if players have came on in form at the end of the day its down to results and he cant seal the deal? we should of got max points in are last 4 prem games instead we have 5, 2 draws in games we should have won and one a win against swansea reserves, every step forward we make we take 2 backwards, i fail to see any progress as a team

Want3d, it's the few level headed users of this website such as yourself that keep me returning to this forum.

This thread is just so typical of the modern day fan overreaction that are all too common on here.

We're just begining to find our feet I believe & although we've gone out tonight, I feel we performed really well. We look a different side with Sturridge up front & it was a huge shame he wasn't available. We conceded twice away in a space of 5mins of poor defending and again tonight due to one mistake, not exactly the end of the world.

I was glad to see Assaidi tonight, thought he did quite well. Let's see if he's rewarded by the manager.

@Liverpool 21

well thats just a matter of opinion. you have yours i have mine. i think we're a much better side now with sturridge. No disrespect to King Kenny but, I'm far more excited about BR's team now than last seasons. i also think the players enjoy playing for rodgers a lot more too.

add a couple of defenders, maybe a creative midfielder and a clean slate next season and we'll be far more competitive. i think your being naive to refuse to see beyond this moment in time. a change in manager would only be another set back for the club. and try to remember this was the managers first game in proper european knockout football.

he may be young but i feel he can really grow with the club

thanks mate and likewise. its hard to find any motivation to bother logging on most of the time. everyone has had a go of career mode on fifa or football manager and think they can do better haha
