I don't think it matters, everyone is a fan if they follow their team - whether that is from home, the pub or at the matches.

I go to a lot of the home games as i share a season ticket with another lad, but I never bother really with the Europa games or going to any away matches as I like watching it in the pub with my mates. Just preference rather than 'not being a fan'.

Guys, sorry if I didn't express properly, I think you misunderstood me though. I fully understand how much it means to goto the game and that it's something you do with friends and family. I wasn't questioning that at all, it was a genuine question about how we can force these owners to lower the price of tickets etc. I know it's obviously a very difficult decision and realistically it's harder to stop going and stop the tradition than it is to give them your money because by boycotting the matches you will lose much more than you would if you just give them the money. I guess my question is, do you see any other method of applying pressure on the owners to make the necessary changes, other than boycotting the games? I feel they only speak money and the only way to pressure them is to hit them where it hurts, the pocket....Thats all. Obviously I understand the experience, tradition and meaning that matchday has for so many fans.

Nce again, sorry I didnt mean to offend or be cruel or anything...it's just that obviously most fans agree with your views that the common man is being driven away and I can't think of any other way to make things change. By going to the matches and paying for the tickets it's kinda like we all accept it.

That's fine marko maybe i over reacted.

The only way is for fans of all clubs to get together and threaten strike action. There has to be a curb on players wages that are driving the price increases. Individual or club action would not work.

There are such pressure groups starting I have seen banners including one on the kop

Fans against modern football I think it said

i don't think you would be allowed to get banners like that inside the ground. I don't think it's fair that you can put up a banner saying how good Kenny Dalglish was but you would certainly get told to take an anti Dalglish banner down even tho how bad and destructive he was. Like a communist club in things like that...

I think they won't allow you to put a banner against KD for your own security.

but what if you felt that strongly against him, surely you should be allowed to express ure view, bet they wouldn't be so against an Anti Roy Hodgson one tho, that would be treated differently am sure...

Have you tried? If not, why not go ahead (like KD is responsible for all our current problems)in the next home game and then we talk about it.

Yep must be, i love him too, just agree with coolflames about him, 1 of the few things we do agree on. Great great player maybe our best ever bar Sounness, Hansen and Barnes for me
