Looks like the press are starting to try and make things happen again. Cant imagine they are even considering anything like this at this stage tbh.

Before the season started i didn't think we would do much, and once the summer transfer window slammed shut I still thought the same.

There is a lot to consider, such as the existing players that were at our club when Rodgers took over, did they suit the way he wants to play, did they have capabilities to succeed in his methods. Rodgers was going to need to bring in his own players, fair enough the owners didn't sanction all the deals Rodgers wanted, and i can see why as well, due to the terrible finances the club is in due to wage bills and the outgoings being higher than the incomings etc. I would rather have a club in a building process than one at a high risk of administration and extinction.

I didn't have high hopes for this season, because it is the first season of the building process, Rodgers needs to assess all the players, see who needs to go and see who he needs to get tied down to long term contracts, and then bring in his own players.

For me it has been a case of, improve on last seasons league position, maybe pick up a cup. Then season 2013-14, we can hopefully get rid of unwanted players who are left, reducing wage bill, and bring in new players best suited to the way he wants to play. Then we can start to look at breaking into the top 4, the one problem is that other clubs are improving as well. But with getting rid of players, and extra marketing deals, we could have more profits which means more spends for players.

I haven't lost faith in Rodgers, I have faith and think Rodgers can be the man to turn our fortunes around. I think the 2013-14 season should be were we see an improvement in results, because this sesason our performances have improved, we just haven't been getting the results they deserve.

To me he looks like he has the ability, and has great man management.

As for the stories about looking for new managers, thats just the media making up the usual cack, until we are back in the top 4 they will make up sh!t. Ancelotti has only just gone to PSG, bought in a load of players, got them to the top of the league, and now in a great position to progress to the last 16 of the champions league, there is no way he would be looking to leave, and there is no way we would be able to afford him. PSG are as rich as Man City, so whatever big contract City offer PSG can match.... JUST A LOAD OF MEDIA BULL MUD

too soon to decide. give it until the end of the season at least. lets be fair, at the beginning of the season and with the amount of youngsters he's had to bring through he's had a very tough task on his hands. nobody can deny him that.

i just don't understand why everyone overreacting to the loss against WBA. we had a bad day at the office, maybe one too many this season. but we would have won that game if wasn't for foster.

it would have been nice to keep the long distant dream alive but who actually thought we were capable of finishing fourth at the start of the season?

so why the reaction? we might not have got the results recently, or in most games this season but our play has been encouraging in the majority of games where we've dropped points.

we've added some quality to a very thin side with sturridge coming in, and some youthful depth with coutinho. a couple more good players and a clean slate next season and we'll be much better prepared to close the gap on fourth place.

i think it would be a major set back for us to change managers again so soon. can't see it having a positive effect at all.

If as you say he needs to bring his own players, then why is he not playing his most expensive purchase, the player who understands his system inside out. I don't understand, sorry.

i remember not even a week ago, after the performances against Arsenal and City

we all said the signs are good. I was/still am devastated by the result/performance against WBA but we to go from one extreme to the other is pathetic, we looked poor and clueless without sturridge.

when he is back it may be rosie again, but give the guy a break.

when we lose he gets as much stick as Hodgson, yet when we win, he doesnt get any praise whatsoever.

Easy explanation, am sure your talking about Joe Allen, the player is out of form or lacking confidence, plus had payed plenty of games. For me his form is way off, he started the season really well, but has faded and his performance levels are not up to scratch at the minute, and Gerrard, lucas and Henderson has been a better combination of late. If a player is off form then he needs to make way, but once another chance comes along he must take it, he cant just play him because he bought him.

People moaned at Kenny for playing Henderson and Downing all the time when they were under performing. Rodgers could do teh same and play him, buyt instead he has shown some balls and dropped him to give someone else a chance to shine.

I don't think it's fair to say that BR doesn't get any praise after we win, however, i would agree that he didn't get any great praises so far, only because that under him, we haven't had any wins against great teams. We have only been able to beat the lower ranked teams, games which we really expect to win.

Likewise, he gets the stick, when we lose games which we are ecpected to win, like Villa and WBA, especially at home. Losing such games is definitely not a good sign. Everytime I say to myself that now we've turned a corner, it just gets bad again and the slim hope is wiped off.
