his goalscoring rate is second to none but I can't see him as a realistic target because of the high wages he would command. I also don't think he will stay in England out of respect for Chelsea so I can see America on the books for him

Just read on Yahoo United offered him 65k a week. Can't believe that considering the amount he could get elsewhere. Be a good signing for a year though, their midfield's quite poor.

Lampard is a fabulous player but if your saying he has been the best attacking midfielder since Scholes then I presume you think he is better than Gerrard which I find laughable... but Gerrard is not a better attacking midfielder than Lampard and to suggest otherwise is laughable, look at the facts then come back. I would say Gerrard is an all round better player than Lampard as in more complete but just simply as an attacking midfielder nobody has come close to Lampard, never known a player to be so consistent of having a forward players goal scoring rate for a midfielder pens and free kicks included, phenomenal... End of story

I think at there peak I would say Lampard would be more likely to get into a best 11 than Gerrard because as good as Gerrard is I really dont think he is top class in any specific position, very good in about three or four which makes him valuable and special but not extra special in one position alone...

He's quite special in midfield I'd say.
Frank's got an unbelievable record, one of Chelsea's cheaper signings back in the day - about 8m maybe.

[/quote] ofcorse he is special because he is good at a number of positions and is a fantastic all round player, all I am saying is that he is not top class in anyone position and would never get in a best 11 because he is not special in a certain position as there is always someone better...
