Not a chance - it's way too early to say if he's turned a corner just because he's had a couple of half decent games. The odd goal and assist change nothing for me - my criticism has always been about his lack of involvement throughout the game....my opinion on him being useless was formed from watching him in action for over 6 months. If he ups his game again and keeps it up until the end of the season I'll re-evaluate then. There'll be no knee-jerk nonsense from me.

Couldn't be more wrong. Look at what the award is for. Hendo has captained and pulled the strings for the U21s for quite some time now, nothing to do with club form. And if you actually watched any games, you would see what 99% of us see, Gerrard has been England's most consistent performer for a long while. Admittedly he is helped by poor performances by those who could have wrestled the accolade away from him, but Gerrard has performed to a good standard almost game in game out for quite some time for England, something his colleagues cannot claim. Thoroughly deserving of the title.
