Our defence was at it's strongest when we had Hyypia and Henchoz (massively under rated player).

agree, i still think Rafa got him out for political reasons, as there were no footballing reasons for doing so. He needed to keep the kop appeased early doors and initially thats why Carra got the nod.

At present he is the best defender we have!! True legend!! Wish we could unearth 2 more Carra's!! If I were BR I would play him as much as possible the rest of season as I think he will be more determined than ever before the boots get hung up!!

Cheap cheap dig.

It's a nice sentiment saying they should retire the number 23 jersey, but I don't agree with it. They've never retired any other numbers after legends retired, so I don't see why this should be any different. If it was up to me though, I'd keep it vacant for a year at least.

Great pic..

Absolutely, and really good picture that sums up how we all feel i guess.

I'm gutted to see him go, but I understand why.

Absolute and perfect role model that's NEVER been trouble in any shape or form.

Please. Future manager of LFC.

from this afternoon on radio merseyside jamie looks like having some time away from day to day football , to concentrate on his businesses and 23 foundation work and his break when it comes is well deserved .

Well most legends like kenny have a number like 7 which wud be nearly impossible to retire because every team has a number 7, 23 on the other hand I'd a less common number and it wouldn't be hard to retire it.

Pete: Berg, I'm just not cut out to be a good person.
Berg: I know. That's why the Lord gave us good looks.

not sure about retiring No 23 as the club didnt retire number 7 after keegan and dalglish but if it happens it would be a fantastic gesture.
