Andy Carroll was never given a chance at Liverpool ,it was a mistake to let him go without a replacement.

Did we have Sturridge last August when Carroll was allowed to leave on loan? No.
Could we have used Carroll between August and January before Sturridge was signed. Yes.

We 'could' have used Carroll but he probably wouldn't have scored any more than shelvey. There's also the small matter of the big lummox being injured. For a big man, he's rather fragile.

We`ll never know if he would have scored anymore than Shelvey and he was injured while at West Ham, who knows if the same injury would have happen if he stayed at Liverpool.The only thing thats certain is it was a mistake to let him leave on loan without a replacement.Anyways how did this turn into an Andy Carroll thread , his situation has been debated to death already.

yep have to agree with this, think Carroll would of played a part up until Sturridge signed even if he was used to come on as an impact player. I thought Rodgers was weak in not standing up to FSG if he had any sort of a backbone he would of demanded Carroll stay and not leave unless a replacement was already signed, weak managing on that score in my opinion...

Joe allen is an underated player. he will get his form back
