I think the options Barry brings are massive. If Gerrards a regular gig upfront with Torres. Then that leaves Mash,Alonso,Lucas for Rafa's two holding roles.

With that in mind I think Johnson and Barry would really be the only ones I'd go for.

Experienced back-up striker, right winger and possibly some cover for right back as others have said.

i'd have a look at someone like John Carew or Benni McCarthy for back-up striker, someone who can sit on the bench as to not split up the Gerrard/Torres partnership but can do a job when asked to.

Right back, Glenn Johnson isn't good enough, even Portsmouth have moved him up to right mid as his defending is so dodgy.

If Barry comes in, it probably means Alonso is off unfortunately.

Personally if he's got £30-40 million to spend, i'd look at blowing the lot on Ribery, talk is he wants a move to England or Spain, he's be massive for us, a third match winner.

what about Diogo the Brazilain striker-should be available for round 12 mil.Looks like Rafa rates Leto and should be given a chance to shine in the Prem. league.
If we go for Barry-then we should rather sell Lucas than Alonso.

I would love to see Hyppia in a coaching role after another year of playing.He has plenty of experience and can teach the younger guys coming in.

We need another striker to support Torres (need for depth) and cover for the left and right wings. Keep Agger, Kuyt, Alonso and we are set.

Experienced back-up striker that can play for 2-3 seasons until Nemeth and Dalle Valle are ready would be nice. Henry would be perfect but very very unlikely he would want to play 2nd fiddle even if Liverpool were prepared to pay for a 32 year old!!

Yes def a striker but we also need some one clever in a wide position to help us unlock massed defenses.
