Would you take sneijder or say Alonso? If he wanted to come back.

You can't really blame him for taking 3 times the amount somewhere else.

Let's face it, FSG were never really in for him. It was a mock gesture to 'manage our expectations' so we think they're actually trying.

As predicted, we won't sign anyone else of significance this window and shortly after we'll all hear that 'there will be a lot of activity in the summer'. I guess the idea now is to sell Suarez in the summer for £40m and re-invest that amount in young potential. It wouldn't suprise me if they're planning on getting SG off the wage bill soon too.

Time is running out for LFC to compete for world class players, running out very fast.

If Alonso advised Sahin to make the move, I bet he feels like a right tit.

I disagree...firstly Suarez is worth more than 40 million, secondly if they manage to hold onto him for 1 more season, the chances are his value will increase...they might wanna cash in but if they do, I believe it will be during a January window when prices are inflated.

Disappointed in our efforts... but even more disappointed in this player... he looks like a complete fool.

Why? because he'll be playing regular champions league football, earning big money, living in a hot country and paying low tax??

If he signed for Liverpool, half of his wages would be taken in tax, the club undervalued him with their contract offers, the weather here is miserable and depressing and he'll be due to retire by the time we're in the CL again.

How exactly is Sneijder a fool?

Can't believe how many presumptions have been made over this. Anyone provide substantive proof we offered a competitive salary package I'd appreciate reading it via link?

All I've read, is it was around £65k which is frankly a pi*s take and they knew that all too well.

These statements by Stevie and BR aren't coincidence, sounds like them and half the club are pis*ed off with FSG's short sightedness.

Hope we get a fan reaction (if nothing is salvaged by the end of the window) more negative than the last one!

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.
