More than a little disappointed. Wesley Sneijder would have been ideal. I saw Dempsey had a good game today too, working hard until the end to get the equaliser.
@ JayGB1982 . I agree. I can't see Gerrard being happy about it either...

Im coming to a slow realisation we won't sign anyone else in this window. Hendo i said that after the Sturridge signing i guaranteed everyone on here we wouldn't sign anyone else and even offered a £10 bet to anyone who'd take it, was inevitable and now with Drowning and Henderson playing well it may well be written in stone. I'm actually not annoyed about it because i expected it, hopefully Sturridge, Suarez and Gerrard can stay on current form until May with Borini chipping in too

Rubbish - if it was about the money he'd have stayed where he was. Our offer was more or less the same as Gala's....but only after we offered him less than we're paying the likes of downing, henderson and carroll and other players not fit to clean Sneijder's boots. We've got no ambition other than to reduces FSG's overheads.
For a club of supposedly large stature, LFC look like d!cks trying to get a £200k pw player for a 1/3 of that, especially with a low transfer fee involved.

With 15% tax, Sneijder will earn £170k per week after tax at Gala, compared to ~£50k per week after tax at LFC. Surprised? No, me neither.
