Hi all.

Would someone please provide some information regarding the following question:

When a transfer fee is agreed between two clubs, are agent fees included in it or are they paid separately?

The reason I am asking is regarding the remark Ian Ayre made few days ago about liverpool having high agent fees from transfer deals concluded last year.

not 100% but i would say its a separate thing just like the signing on fee

Based on FM, its negotiated with the players contract and the transfer fee is seperate

Its separate I think because once two clubs agree deals, the agent will negotiate personal terms with the club such as player wages and I am assuming agent fee.

yea through playing FM it would suggest that the agent is there to sort out the negotiations of the players contract with clubs. usually the player gets a signing on fee bonus when he signs. the agent will also have an agent fee.
