well now the attention really is on the Norwich City game, to be honest I had write the United game off as a defeat anyway but if we were to lose against Norwich not only would it bring Norwich closer there are about 2 or 3 teams which could overtake us in our race for 7th.

yep race for 7th is well and truly on, Ourselves, West Brom, Stoke, Swansea and possibly Norwich are all firmly in contention, think the ones who can put any sort of run together could snatch it...

ya dont race for 7th, you get beaten into 7th.

plus it doesnt matter that we lost to utd cause we are going to play norwich. and then it doesnt matter if we lose to arsenal because then we are going to play arsenal and so on and so on....

I think you get beaten into 7th when you are higher in the league and you fall away so considering we have never been 7th and if we reached 7th it will be our highest position of the season I think we can safely say we are in a race for 7th as it stands...

i actually find this all quite funny. what you have said is in fact true, and yet the way some people talk about where we are and how we perform its like two different teams.

6 years ago disappointment at losing a CL final to Milan. and now for some reason racing the canaries for 7th is a positive.

Things change tho dont they, are aims and expectations have changed over the years, 30 years ago we looked at Leagues and European Cups, 15 years ago we stopped looking at Leagues and 3 years ago we stopped looking at 4th place, now we are looking at places 6th, 7th and 8th, just the way things have been allowed to slide and drift, we are not the only Club its happend to over the last 30 years...

and yes if we beat norwich , it will be good 3 valuable points that for some reason you seem to dismiss a home liverpool game for some reason

at one time our rivals were United, Arsenal and Chelsea, we have now slipped to the point that our rivals around us are West Brom, Everton, Stoke City, West Brom and this season Swansea City, this is what has happens when you dont stay competative, dont invest the correct funds or use what funds you have on the wrong players, we have probaly done all three...
