coventry city home in the sixties it was nil nil liverpool were poor shankly was building the side I was about 7 and it was in the middle of the kop and i saw nothing except flashes of green now and again glimpses of the pitch plus i nearly got decapitated because my dad(not knowing the ground) put me in front of the crash barrier which was the right height for me throat when the crowd surged some scousers said to my dad put him at the back o de barrier wack. They used to call everyone wack then a practice since died out. Anyway the rest is history I have had a great time and saw the best years and now left to keep forking out for not a great thing really compared to the 70's and 80's 90's and even 2001 and 2005. Where did it all go wrong?

I remember next day looking at the paper and the headline was shankly's liverpool attack with plastic knife. Meaning they were attacking but had no one to finish not dissimilar to todays liverpool. I always remembered that headline I think it was after 1965 but not sure. Anyway you know the rest a few years later and they were the most feared team in the world we might be looking back on brendan rodgers that way you never know.

Good night

i remember my first final was the 1978 league cup final against cloughie's nottingham forest and remembering how big wembley was and sitting on benches behind fences 0-0 terry mc dermott had a perfect goal ruled out and then going to old trafford for the replay and remembering the massive floodlight pylons but we got beat 1-0 .

Liverpool v Blackburn 1995, when Blackburn won the league, still have the pictues of Redknapp sticking that free kick away, my mates dad who brought us was a Blackburn fan nearly died until the UTD result came through.
