I think Borini, Sturridge and Henderson all have a big part to play at Liverpool. Not so much Henderson but i do reckon he'll be a good squad player. Not so sure about Allen though and of course i have to throw in Downing, will never rate him.
Actually hoping Henderson starts at Old Trafford this Sunday in place of Allen. Heard Nuri Sahin is all but gone back to Madrid tonight or tomorrow so i expect another signing this window.

Boring needs a chance to settle in and I thought his movement was good when he did play early on although he only scored once! Hopefully now that he's back training he can get fit and have some kind positive influence on the pitch when give the chance.
Those laying into him are a bit premature in my opinion!

I don't get how BR is failing to get the best out of Sahin? German player of the year, signed by Madrid, wanted by Inter & Dortmund.....How on earth can anyone prefer henderson, allen or shelvey over him??!

i'm wondering the same thing.
but, in fairness, the same question could be as to why real madrid couldn't get the best out him either.

Sahin has single possibly been the worst loan move in the history of this club... £5 million for what? A lightweight midfielder too scared to stay on a pitch cause of a broken nose? I'm sure plenty of footballers have worn protective masks in the past, Didn't Terry wear one? And he's a CB challenging at corners etc... The sooner we send his pansy ass back to RM and get £2.5 million back the better... Every week we lose 100k by having him here. As for Henderson, He's been one of our better players in the last 6 weeks and also put in some MOTM performances but Carheex seems to have his blinkers on with regards to Hendo and simply doesnt rate him or acknowledge when he puts in a good performance... Simply on that reason I choose to ignore him... If you can't give praise where its due then why should we pay ANY attention to ANY of your so called views which are EVIDENTLY incorrect.

He also doesn't look the most athletic player so is naturally going to struggle in the premiership. I don't see how BR is to blame? Henderson has also improved in the last few games since he has played the attacking midfield role and deserves some credit for that and not the usual mocking you give him which is grand when he has played poor but credit where credits due at least

A large portion of fans will accept any old crap. When 6th place wasn't good enough, we settled for 7th. When 7th wasn't good enough, we settled for 8th. When we're in 10th people were saying BR was doing very well! It's the same situation with katieprice henderson - for the last 18 months he has been abysmal. People have now get used to that and are expecting nothing from him.....so when he does play a pass or make a tackle people think he his top quality because their expectations of him are rock bottom, when in reality he's doing nothing special at all. I'm not as easily fooled as the majority...

you're certainly more arrogant than the majority though especially as you seem to assume that only you can see what a player is and isn't doing.
No one has said that he is top quality but he has certainly improved and maintained that form for the last number of matches, surprisingly as the attacking midfielder as well. Downing has also improved in recent matches and the players are becoming more instinctive in their movement and passing of the ball and finding the space between the defence and midfield.

Not getting in the Madrid team was down to a lengthy injury plus their large squad is full of quality players. That problem doesn't exist at Liverpool. We've got a weak midfield. that's true. the do have better players and injury was a factor. however, he did only play 4 games for madrid so he was hardly match fit when he came to us so it was going to take a bit on time to settle. in a midfied with lucas out (therefore joe allen out of position), gerrard (who was trying to adjust his game with the years catching up on him), and downing and hendo not having settled sahin just seems like another player who didn't immediately fit in. i was hoping to see him settle in immediately. as a loan signing you need the player to be ready to go. i think he did ok when i saw him (not particularly rubbish nor amazing). my thoughts are if that you have bunch of players that all are appearing to need time to settle in, i would be hesitant to invest that time in a player who is likely to leave in 20 games time. having said that, i would have loved to have seen him given more time cos to be bundesliga player of the year and be signed by real must mean that he has something about him. it's a pity the rest of team wasn't in a more settled place to facilitate him.
