After reading up on him a little more I saw that he scored 9 goals in 20 starts (4 sub also) and 7 of those goals were in the second half of the season. So when he says that he might take a while, maybe he's just going from that experience.

I don't think he looked impressive at all when he played.

Although one thing I would say is, we used him primarily out wide when he played (not his position). Look how much better Kuyt did up front rather than out wide for us, so maybe similar thing. Henderson has also improved massively this season by playing as a midfielder instead of a winger.

Alas - I don't see Rodgers playing him up front at any point so that pretty much negates my comment haha

Says who? Rodgson, Borini & Zeman have all said that he is equally as effective in the middle or out wide.

Not sure about your Kuyt comparison about being better up front than out wide. The reason he was moved out wide is because he was soo poor up front.

As for KatiePrice Henderson......he is supposed to be just as bad out wide as he is in the middle. Not sure which henderson you are referring to you though when you say he has improved massively this season.

His attitude is top class ... and he's only 21, if he ended up the new Durkster, I wouldn't be too upset.

Kuyt and Lucas where seen in a similar light and slatted for a good few seasons before people realised their hard work and graft. Not the most gifted perhaps, but I see a bit of Lucas and Kuyt in him.

I recon we should just give the lad a chance, hes only 21 i think? been moved around loads, h did a job for rogers before and at roma, so i dont see why he cant be a decent player for us, just needs a chance to settle i recon.
