So as everyone has probably read, Enrique is out for up to 6 weeks. Just want to see people's opinions of what you would you do in this situation? So far we have seen Downing attempt to be a left back, Agger play there, Johnson switch over and Robinson is our only natural back up; there are even some mentions of needing to buy another left back in Jan anyway to fill in when needed.

Personally, I would use Johnson for "bigger" games on that side as it has proven to work in the past. But I think it would be a good chance, especially at home games, to give young Robinson a run out for a few games. It doesn't seem like Rodgers is much of a fan, but surely better than sticking Downing there?? As I mentioned in another thread as well, I think he has looked pretty decent when he has played and he isn't injured.

We're currently playing a RB at LB and an inexperienced CB at RB which has worked well(ish) so far but kind of makes me wonder why not just play Jack Robinson and Glen Johnson in their natural positions?

I'm guessing of course but it kinda leads me to the conclusion that Jack Robinson isn't quite ready for first team football.

That's how it appears. It seems like it's working fine so far, so I have no complaints.

I don't disagree, but would hope that BR would give a chance to both of the lads to play games rather than just giving one of them an opportunity. Can't be good for Robinson's morale, unless they plan to send him on loan maybe?

I severely doubt we'll be signing any LBs this month. That's something that probably won't be addressed until the summer.

I'd play Johnson there until José is back. It's not ideal, but Johnson is excellent there, and with him playing there, Wisdom (or the soon-to-return Martin Kelly) playing at right back is a better option than Downing or (the impressive yet young, and seemingly unfavoured) Robinson at left back.

I don't know actually, I heard a while back it'd be late Jan/early Feb, but that could be wrong or could have changed. End of the season, seriously?!
