Do people honestly think Benitez would change his tactics or philosophy if he came back here, the answer is no, he would manage in exactly the same way as he did with Tenerife, Valencia, Liverpool, Inter Milan and now Chelsea, those ways of management were nowhere near good enough for us last time or suited to English football so why do people think they are all of a sudden good enough now, he would never change his management style philosophy, he is much too stubborn, that's one of his downfalls...

Oooooo i didnt know this till i read it just now in a sky sport article.
a 3-1 loss at Stoke on Boxing Day left Rodgers' men with 25 points from 19 games, the same record they had during the short-lived reign of the much-criticised Roy Hodgson.
by that reckoning, he has to go. plus there was more down playing of purchases in the transfer window which means either the owners need to fck off, or they have lost faith in rodgers and they have already given him the asgreed length of rope to do what he will with and so far he has emulated... roy hodgson. Hodgson managed the team for one more match before getting the sack. So by that reckoning, if we beat QPR then Rodgers will have amassed 3 more points than Hodgson got in his entire reign of the same amount of games. Either way, it's not good enough, we all know that. I think there's a massive difference in the quality of football and also in the overall feeling between the two reigns. Under Hodgson we were getting beaten by teams at the bottom of the league, which isn't happening so much under Rodgers, but we're not beating any teams up the other end, unfortunately. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing - or neither! There's no shadow of a doubt in my mind though that he has to be given time. Making a change now is absolutely out of the question and to be honest, stupidity. I think he has to be given until the season's end and it should be reviewed then. The only way I can see him not getting at least that long, is if we go on a horrendous run losing game after game and looking like the players don't want to play for him.

Nowhere near good enough? Are you having a laugh? He got us to our highest PL points tally and closest to wining the PL in the last 20 years? He also won us several cups and a CL title...if that is not good enough for the PL, what is? Let's not forget he also has us playing CL football regularly! Perhaps your opinion of good enough for the PL and LFC is sitting in 8th on the league table. Ridiculous IMO! Shameful even...

Haven't you started threads with all this before Flames? We know how you feel.... so what's the point of repeating it all the time? Kind of like your 'doubters' thread then yeh? Different rule for him though? I see. On the topic at hand, whilst the points and position in the table do not lie, I feel more positive under Rodgers than I did under Hodgson, Roy was never gonna improve, the whole appointment of him was farsical to begin with, with Rodgers I think everything suggests he's going to be given a bit of time (short of being very close to the relegation zone), I'd certainly be willing to give him that time, I think he has the makings of a good coach, and could push us on, maybe not to top 4 however. The only thing I have doubts about is his nouse in the transfer market, and that's something we are soreeeely missing. His last transfer window was disgusting, yet another year of wasted millions. He spent plenty and plenty to improve our first 11, and he bought players that didn't. They might do in a couple of years time but you can't just hope for that, you need to build for now as well as the future. Allen and borini were silly signings at that time, and now he wants to pay 12 million for a player chelsea want to pay a million to just to get rid of. Utter retardness in the transfer windows so far. ANd this was meant to be a strength of his. So that's my only serious gripe with him as of yet, but hopefully he can change my mind in the coming windows.

Shameful even... several cups ??? 2 to be exact houllier won several , plus it was 2006 his last cup win a long long time ago now , ok you might ssay he doing well at chelsea well he should with the players and squad at his disposal even de matteo had them flying and won the CL , ok rodgers isnt doing well but the squad of young kids and sadly poor players means we have a dire weak squad , that does exactly what it is a mid table team , win a few lose a few draw just like any other mid table team , and if you think another failed ex liverpool manager coming back would just wave a magic wand and all would be well then sadly your mistaken.

It's impossible to compare Rodgers and Hodgson. One inherrited a talented squad and produced dire football The other inherrited a dire squad and produced half decent football.

My own personal of Dunk is that when it comes to racism on this site he is extremely weak, or maybe chooses to ignore on purpose, who knows.
but on your minor issue of name calling he is very quick to act.
I have friends who say that Dunk is a crook and so forth, but I think that is unfair on the big fella, and I am not interested in any of that crap
Im here to talk liverpool and that is that
