what FSG and Rodgers say they want to do i totally get. they want to sign young, promising players who over time they plan to develop into great players. i think that's a great plan however, with the amount we need to get done immediately, it's just not a good idea. if we were given enough money to, every window, pick up these young players and then still have enough money left to grab a couple players who can make an impact immediately then everything would be great. or, if we already had a squad full of top tier players who can carry us along until these young guys are ready, again...that'd be great. the way rodgers and FSG are playing it though is very risky. we might sign these players and they come into the squad, gel immediately and turn out to be the best signings in years or they could turn out to be what i think they will be which are players who, given enough time, will be great but won't be able to change much if anything in the time frame we need them to. i don't know, we're just in a risky place right now.
