I don't understand the negativity towards Sturridge, alrite he's not top draw but let's get real here we are not a top draw club, people think we are somehow better than what we are and that's why they talk about players like Llorente or Hunterlaar, can you honestly see these players swapping where they are for a bog standard mid table premier league club with no hope of Champions League Footie, coz I can't. I think people really do need to take a reality check and stop feeding off the scraps of our history and famous name, this is where fans unrealistic expectation levels come from, we are no longer that club unfortunately...
Do you have any idea whatsoever how Llorente's club Athletic Bilbao are doing this season and where they are in the league table? They are pis* poor, so why wouldn't he come? Why nit come to club where you know you will be a starter and appreciated by the fans instead of going to City or Chelsea and warming the bench fir half a season? But if your a decent player with any sort of ambition ofcorse you would want to play for a Champions League Club, Llorente according to most fits that bill so what am saying is true, why would he swap a mid table Spanish Team for the English equivalent, just don't make sense.
