Yes it's not been a wonderful start for him, and I have also been a critic recently.
Let's not forget in all of this, the mess, and that is the kindest word i can use, is all from Dalglish.
The man should hang his head in shame, what an absolute disgrace, our suffering now isn't at the hands of Rodgers, it's at the doorstep of Dalglish.
And before the blind loyal bandwagon starts to slate me for his heroics 25 years ago, he broke even with all of that for the shambles he has left our club in, infact, twice over.
We need to give Brendan a little more time, judge him at the end of the season, i still believe we will fight for 4th with a couple of new signings in early Jan, we are really not that far off.
It is 1 of the tightest tables we have had in years, the best team from Jan, outside the top 3 will take 4th spot, we are not completely out of that mix. What does your username KD7 stand for??LOL people blaming Benitez for Hodgson being a chump, now people blaming Dalglish for rodders failings`.These owners havent a clue and thats why we are where we are.

It wouldn't matter much which manager you have with the players we have, and those we need and haven't, we would be in or around this position anyway. Two seasons ago FSG appear to have come with a vision of the style of football they wanted at the club, yet they hired a manager and a director of football neither of which were versed (or probably even interested) in their tiki-taka vision, but they carried on regardless and sanctioned the purchase of near half a dozen players who mostly didn't suit their preferred style either. One season on and a net 40m spent, they suddenly wake up and realise they boarded the wrong bus, so they up and sack the manager and the director of football, and replaced them both with a manager well versed in the tiki-taka style they wanted in the first place. But then an appalling vista presented itself they had their preferred manager with their preferred playing style, but the wrong team, and if that wasn't bad enough when they looked in their piggy bank they were fresh out of funds! Now in this scenario who should we blame? The first manager they appointed? the second manager they appointed? Or those who sleepwalked into this mess in the first place? What complete nonsense. With the players we have we should be sitting comfortably in 6th, possibly 7th. Do you think our team/squad is actually worse than that of west brom, norwich, west ham, stoke, swansea and only money can improve us?? No chance - those clubs simply have a better manager. A good manager will play to his team's strengths and should be able to improve results with his coaching and tactical acumen.

Seems to me that everyone accepts where the faults are but feel that it takes an instant to change it round. Kenny, Commolli and even Hodsgon are not incompetent. Neither is Rodgers.but do have different ideologies. when you take over a new company your sheer presence does not change everything overnight unless the spirit was bad. Under Roy it was bad hence the change in results under Kenny, under Kenny not so, hence the not so dramatic change under BR. City have spent nearly 600million over 5yrs and are still wobbling week to week. Yet Rodgers has one window to sort out playing style, exits and new recruits. It's not going to happen OVERNIGHT and we all knew that. The fact there has been some sort of progress is good. The team has had a very poor 2012 in the league but Rodgers has won more games and got more points than Kenny did. we can either bail out again or just hang in there and see where we go. Alot to play for and one bad result neither confirms our freefall(carheex) as much as one win doesn't mark our meteoric rise either

But a good manager should be able to improve results very quickly, especially if he is given £30m to spend. You talk about progress but I don't see any. And you need to recheck your comparison with Dalglish: Kenny's first 17 games of the season yielded 30 points and has us in 5th place. Brendans first 17 games have yielded 22 points and have us sat in 12th place. I don't see how that is 'progression'. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on why laudrup, pulis, allardyce, hughton & clarke are all above us despite having inferior players and less money to spend. How have laudrup, hughton & clarke joined new clubs and managed to improve their team's results very quickly? Maybe it's because they are good managers and Brendan isn't...?

With the exception of Hughton, Laudrup and Clarke came to clubs where the players were already playing a very similar style to the one they wanted to play. They are good managers who are adding to the work done by previous managers. Even in Norwich's case, they played a 442 under Lambert. Liverpool are playing a brand new style of formation that they have very rarely played. They are also still struggling to take the chances created in games.
