No nets....just ban the d1ckhead who threw the coin. I agree, seems like the easiest way to get rid of people who are stupid enough to throw things onto the pitch. wouldn't coins and small objects just go straight through the nets anyway?

After the man city incident and others there is now talk of putting up netting to stop the object throwing. If so i think it should be done after repreated incidents not blanket because I am not aware of it happening at anfield. although not the same and will be made safe but it has disturbing connotations with the fencing in the 80's that led to deaths. It also does not help the people who are innocent but have to watch the game through netting. I would prefer arrests and long bans / fines for those that undertake this activity to netting How is anyone supposed to hit rio ferdinand if there's a sodding net in the way???? You've not thought this through Stan!

maybe they should just stop pr*cks like Ferdinand from celebrating right in the faces of opposition fans and inciting the violence in the 1st place.
Agreed the fans shouldn't have done it, but he did ask for it You'd think we'd have learned from Danny Rose's enticing of the Serbia fans, that it only leads to trouble.

next thing will be fences back they way its going , people at all games have to start to behave themselves starting with paying top dollar for a seat well use it to sit in instead of this selfish and very unnecessary standing up for starters . totaly agree with you there, those idiots on the Kop have a cheek, they claim to support Hillsborough yet blatenly disregard the reason all seated stadium was introduced by continuing to stand up. I personally would'nt put nets up behind the Kop I would just close it until they learn to obey the laws and respect Hillsborough more..
