We won against West Ham, how can that make him a master tactician, probably a better tactician than Big Sam.
master tactician is certainly over the top but he has proved time and again this season to change the team during the course of the game, and not following conventional wisdom on his subs, to great effect
I agree, I wouldn't label him Master Tactician, but he has shown promise in that area. In the everton game when we were drawing 2-2 and we looked the likely team to lose, his substitutions made a big impact and completely changed it in our favour. The game yesterday arguably he did the same, although the injury to diame helped us out, but his two subs were instrumental in us winning the game, Joe Cole goal and Henderson assist.
I've often found myself thinking 'oh for fvck sake why bring him on' but i've been happily suprised they've worked!
