As basically a false 10 he scored 22 goals last season. That's good enough for me. Why is he not scoring that many this year then? No team would wish to keep a 20+ goal scorer on the bench after just buying him. One good season doesn't prove anything only to you of course. Anyway, if he was BR's 20+ striker we were looking for, he should have sealed the deal in the first week of the transfer window instead of trying at the last minute.

I would start with Assaidi up front, otherwise the usual suspects for other positions. Hopefully Lucas gets some minutes.

Why are the other Players not stepping up?
We need midfielders / wingers who will provide 10-15 goals and about 3 of them. That's a big issue for me aswell, Jay! Is it that we need to add about 10 new midfield and forward players who actually know how to score? Not one of our players seem to be efficient enough - not even Suarez who has a terrible conversion rate, but gets by on his shot frequence alone.

shevley has been told he is playing up top tomorrow, hope he can do it. not expecting much tomorrow, what with the extra day in italy,no suarez and west hams in your face game play i would be happy with a point. If we can manage to play football in their half then we should get a win but i think we will be pegged back

Looking like its going to be very close in the top half of the table after today with results as they stand! If we win tomorrow (and spurs lose) then there'll only be 4 points between 4th and 12th.
A win is essential tomorrow. Any of those 9 clubs that can put a run of 2-3 wins will climb towards 4th quite quickly, hopefully we'll be the ones to pull it off, starting tomorrow

west ham will be a very tough game , similar to bolton wanderers were in the heydays under allardyce , liverpool have to shuffle the pack and west ham are in a bit of form so we will all have to see but if liverpool get a bit of luck and play well could sneak it .
