Yeah, that's close to my concerns about him also, however he's young and with the right coaching he is likely to become more effective, but he needs games if he's to develop, as someone said the West Ham game is an opportunity with Suarez out. I'd like to see him start or at least get 30 min

Ah Faz, now there's a name from way down memory lane, Tom Finney. I believe he's 90 years old and still to the good. What a player he was, played for Preston Northend. If our young Assaidi can ever even tie his boot laces he will be world class!

Tommy Docherty Described him thus; "Messi is Tom Finney reborn"

and Shanks said: "Tom Finney would be great in any team, in any age, even if he was wearing an overcoat" ...or words to that effect.

So I hope your assessment of our young Assaidi is even half accurate and we'll have a star on our hands

Having said that, today's players are considerably fitter.... no more walking out onto the pitch with a pipe or fag... or the half-time pint!

Yeah good points there Kop, Players are much fitter now but most of them lack the will to fight (over paid, pampered prima donna's) and many of them lack touch, ball control and the ability to take opponents on with the ball, in fact they don't seem to be able to get rid of it quick enough! And as for taking a couple of hard knocks...forget it, I just hate the diving and rolling around that mars todays game. George Bests book 'Hard Tackles and Dirty Baths' is a good read I would recommend some of them.

No today's players have a sit infront of their little mirror at half time, where they rewax their hair and make new hairstyles!

Remember once last year when I watched Real Madrid. After the interval Ronaldo appeared with a totally new hairstyle. His bangs was combed to the right, as opposed to in the first half when it was combed to the left! My 12 year old daughter informed me of this very important coincidence! laugh

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

Great news!

That means as soon as BR might decide to start playing him, Assaidi is off to Africa for a month or so!

How many games have our new recruits gotten so far? Assaidi, Borini and Sahin? What a waste and shame that we don't even try them out properly (apart from the wounded Borini that is)! frown
