Decent team performance and by the look of things we've topped the group laugh Still surprised that Assaidi can't seem to get a game though! maybe he's keeping him for the game against West Ham? He'd add some much needed trickery with Suarez missing

Oh please!! one kick that ended up in the net does not make a good game, He was absolute gash as usual.

I understand your point joe but if we are to progress and more importantly earn john henry millions we have to be in the champions league. whether you or i agree with that or not is of no consequence the club does not belong to us its a commercial venture owned by an american who until he saw the business opportunity problably had never heard of the club

yes but I think what fans want and what owners want are two entirely different things, fans want cups, success and glory while John Henry just wants to earn money by appearing in the champions league, give me trophies over appearing in that any day of the week...

Great result but disappointing performance in my opinion. Perhaps I expect too much from the current squad. Maybe for this squad it was a good effort. But when I think of LFC, this kind of performance againt Barcelona or Real Madrid away is fine, but in the early rounds of the Europa League against a team with nothing to play for I expect a much more commanding perfromance and a more comfortable victory. This performance tells me that we as a club still have a lot of hard work to do.

what was disappointing , there goalie kept them in the game they had one chance in the last second , all round good display kept the ball like an old fashioned liverpool away european performance .

I guess I'm just disappointed that we laboured to the victory rather than sealing it by 2 or 3 goals well before the end. If it's that close with a team that's bottom of our group and already knocked out, it doesn't bode well for when we meet the teams with much greater quality.

Every goalkeeper seems to play a blinder against us. That and the woodwork - those were last season's excuses weren't they?

But hey, I've mad my point now I guess... and should perhaps just enjoy the fact that we're through.

I thought Downing was awful, I just can't see him ever making it at Liverpool.
i also felt he was a bit pants. sterling was disappointing when he came on.. i want him running at the defenders more

Car, if he scored a hattrick, it wouldn't be enough for you.

Don't think anybody was awful, Henderson was ok, Downing looked a bit lost from time to time as it was not very clear who does what between him and Enrique, but, he definitely played his part. Nobody was outstanding though maybe Skrtl and Johnson were the better players. Suarez played well but not his best performance.

We are through as we should have expected in a group where we were the best team. We made it harder for ourselves and I may be repeating myself but our squad is not as bad as some fans think, definitely we are not a bottom half of the table squad. With some reinforments in the striking position we will be close to a top 4 squad. We all know this for more than a year now. Hopefully it can get sorted out in 3 weeks time.

I also felt the performance was a bit disappointing and unprofessional...We should have killed that game off by the 60th minute...Instead we once again took a huge gamble, we risked going out of the competition. I think that is very unprofessional. It'snot like we couldn't kill the game off, we could have if we played with a bit more appetite and agression, if we were slightly more adventurous. Instead we decided to defend a 1-0 lead by playing possesion football. The problem with that is the one mistake, as we saw can cost you a whole bunch. It's just cowardly to play like that. I hate it when other teams do it and hate it even more when Liverpool do it.

I'm really happy we are through but I think Brendan Rodgers will get found out soon in Europe if he doesn't approach fixtures with a bit more courage and hunger...
