Thought Henderson had a good game tonight, was unlucky not to have got a second with that volley. Decent team performance and by the look of things we've topped the group  Still surprised that Assaidi can't seem to get a game though! maybe he's keeping him for the game against West Ham? He'd add some much needed trickery with Suarez missing

excellent old fashioned away performance won the group played well there goalie kept them in the games well done all round .

Standout performers for me were Carra, Henderson, Reina, and Downing, all players who had thus far not been doing so well. The first time in a while I've seen Jordan really assert himself in a game. He really left a mark here. Pepe did very well too. Kept a clean sheet and made some key saves.

What you talking about Downing was useless as usual, henderson same as usual with that volley he could have put it anywhere but chose to aim at keeper

Henderson was the man of the match, mate. He was everywhere, got the winning goal, and made several very good runs and passes. Very unlucky with that volley, I think. It was a good attempt. I thought downing did very well, especially in the first half. The stuff in the build up to Enrique's disallowed goal was class. He also played some quality balls into Suarez that were wasted, but he made several good passes and no glaring mistakes that I saw. I also thought that Skyrtel was a rock; forgot to mention him.

Fickle football fans, downing was useless and henderson didnt mess up the chance for the goal, bravo, but because it was a one nil away win the dork brothers henderson and downing turn into messi and ronaldo! who did that gaffe at the end that let in de natale to nearly put us out on 93mins anyway;
overall skyrtl was top player today

I didn't say they were Messi and Ronaldo. I didn't say they were world beaters, I said they were standout performers. I said they played well today. It makes me fickle to say that two players on my team did well? Without Jordan Henderson, Liverpool's only goal doesn't happen, and we go home disappointed. It was a good goal, too. Hard shot far post, hit first time, beat several defenders and the keeper. Class assist from Suso. The bit at the end was Jose's fault.
