there seems to be a consensus in the papers that sterlings agent want him to be paid 50k per week.
I like sterling, overall this season he's been good (for a young lad). if we had paid 12million for example though for how he's played for us I'd be a but [oops] off with him. I think he's had an easier ride cos there's a general attitude of 'he's doing ok for a teenager'.
he shows great potential for the future but in the past few games he's shown a lack of composure and at points his first touch has been awful. I still like the lad. in an ideal world we would have another recognized wide player so we weren't so dependent on sterling and he could be used more sparingly. I hope I'm wrong but I think I'm seeing signs of him believing the hype too much.
there's definitely not enough in his level if performance that suggests to me that he's worth 50k a week though (not just yet anyway). any thought lads?

Even if his game was worth 50k a week , it would be very stupid to hand that kind of money to a 17 year old , he will lose his head and ruin his career . they should give him around 15-20k now (which is still a very high salary ). And then mayb when he grows older , they should tie him down to a long term contract with a higher salary . If we give him 50k, just like Walcott he will demand for 100k when he will be 21 or 22.

Very good point, he's been okay, which means he's good for his age. But certainly not providing enough to even warrant a definite starting place if we had 2 decent wingers.
I have to say, BR is handling the situation incredibly poorly and his stupid comments are starting to fu!k me off. He would be 'foolish' not to sign? That's right, give someone with enormous potential reason to feel agrieved by your stupid comments. Needs a muzzle sometimes that man.

I don't think he'll be with us all that long - and to be honest, I'd be surprised if he bettered Walcott or Lennon.
Kid's making all the wrong noises, I wouldn't get too attached to him..

See the papers this morning were saying Utd were sniffing around him - wouldn't be entirely surprised to see him sign for them either.

That would be good business for us. What did he cost and what can we sell him for?
In: £ 1 M Out: £ 15-20 M ??
If his attitude is beginning to go títs up then I'm all for selling the little twát to whoever gives us a fair price. A salary of £ 50 K a week for an 18 year old kid? Hilarious! But I guess that's what happens if you start inflating a young man's ego too early, too fast and too much.

Yeah were [oops] with Sterling imo. Ever since the first time he was mentioned about his contract running I just thought he'd leave, hasn't came out and said he's gonna sign on either. Hope United dont get him, its sickening really you give a player his chance at 17 and he doesn't want to repay the club (apparantely). But yeah if he leaves, [oops] him. Another Lennon or Walcott for me.

sterling is a young prospect , but i still dont see a top player in him , at 17/18 i seen macmanaman, fowler, owen, rooney , gerrard and straight away you knew these players had something very special about them , he is a good young prospect with potential but at the moment thats it for me .
