i had to say this real quick but the return of lucas is massive for us. Evrybody is playing great. All those who were knocking Stevie,where r u guys now. Allen...that boy Allen. Slowly but surely would make us forget Alonso. Great game...Lucas welcome back

wouldn't be jumping out of my skin just yet. lucas does look good but we are playing southampton at home.
gerrard and allen are ok today but it's gonna take a few games to settle in to the more advanced role in front of lucas. will see

Agreed. Decent win should of scored more West Ham now next week with Suarez suspended surely he'll travel to Udinese for the Europa League thursday.

Lucas coming back means Allen and Gerrard can both get forward. They both also had their best game for us in weeks.
Lucas looked very solid a few stray passes but they were mainly forward defence splitting passes so I am happy with that.
We look a completely different team with Lucas being our Anchor in midfield.
Surely Lucas must be our next captain?

Lucas looked surprisingly in form today!
Shelvey on the other hand had a worse game with a lot of missed passes in dangerous areas. Time for Sahin to step in perhaps?
He's been poor too, but now is maybe time for him to get a run out.

He's been poor too, but now is maybe time for him to get a run out. Sahin has been sitting when he's played which isn't his natural position. Maybe with Lucas back he can play further forward and be more effective. It also won't hurt the younger players to be dropped if they're not playing well.
