true stan, it wouldn't wash in my job. no doubt but we're dealing with a different world here. the parallels are...well...there are none. comparing my job to his is derisory

to clarify i'm far from defending him and i don't think it's right. my own personal belief is pretty traditional ie if you're paid to do a job, shut your mouth and do it. but footballers are a little different these days.

carroll is one of those fellas that needs to be adored, it's why he did well at home in newcastle and took so long to settle/show any kind of form with us and, so far with west ham

A good manager in any line of work should make his employees feel wanted. High morale is good for productivity. Football players are human beings too.

do you think after the way it's gone between the two that BR could make AC feel like a valuable part of the setup though. i personally don't and therefore can't see him ever coming back into the fold let alone make an impact

No I absolutely do not. I think there's no way back for Andy at LFC. I think he knows that, and Brendan Rodgers knows that, because Andy isn't a player that he feels would fit into his system.

I think the only way we'll see Andy in an LFC shirt again is if a permanent deal between him and some other club rumbles on long enough in the summer for him to return to the club for pre-season training.
