Just a light hearted thread, I wish to know what got you supporting LFC.

I, like many support them because my dad did. Dads from Liverpool but later moved to Basingstoke just before I was born, I still remain in Basingstoke (what a [oops] hole it is). I am 21 years of age!

How about you guys?

I was from Cheshire a group of the lads in the junior school were Utd fans and they bullied me. Bear in mind this was posh cheshire where you can have a reign of terror with a balloon on a string.

I wanted to react against the bullying so when it came to choose a team other than Utd I had a look around. Spurs were a top team then and I had heard of them then I saw this guy Bill Shankly speaking on the tele. I thought I need to find out what team he is to do with if its spurs then its a clincher.

It turned out Bill Shankly was manager of Liverpool.

My Dad took me to my first game when I was 2 years old and I have had a season ticket since the age of 8, (I'm 25 now)

It's fair to say I had no option but to support LFC but I love it and wouldn't change it for anything!

I grew up in Exeter and was taken to a league cup game at st james' park for my first taste of football. The visitors were some team called Liverpool and they won 6-0 (11-0 on aggregate). That kind of made my mind up, plus my cousin gave me his itchy LFC shirt with the Hitachi sponsor (it was like wearing loft insulation!)

My dad is a Man United fan and my mum couldn't spell football. I have no idea why but I've supported Liverpool ever since I can remember. Its funny when United play Liverpool in my house because there is a genuine tension between me and my dad. We actually squared up to each other when I slightly milked my celebrations when we beat them 4-1 at Old Trafford

Dad's a scouser, I was born and raised in Gloucester. The nearest prem teams when I was in first school would have been Aston Villa I suppose, but obviously everyone supported Utd.

Been going to Anfield with the old man since I was tiny and always been a die hard.

He has 4 brothers and a sister, so out of those 3 are Liverpool, 3 are Everton. My nan pretended to be neutral on derby games but she secretly wanted Liverpool to do it.
