With Luis on four yellows and has until Feb to get them clear its without doubt he pick up another and miss a game before Jan. So I was wondering if BR should tell him to get one in the Spurs game so he can miss the Southampton one

Wigan (H)
Swansea (A)
Spurs (A)
Southampton (H)
West Ham (A)
Aston Villa (H)
Stoke (A)
QPR (A)

Unfortunately we need him for all those games but I'd agree that the one that would be the best for him to miss would be Soton at home.

Good point. He'd have to tell him to do it late on, otherwise you wouldn't risk him getting a second. No doubt the press would be on the look out for it, it'd been obvious, and they'd jump all over it as a disgrace and abuse of the game's rules.

In any case, we'd be lucky if we can get him through another 3 games without picking up a booking, lol

Has anyone noticed how poor we've been for the last few years? We're in no position to be able to pick and choose teams depending on the opponent....ALL games are tough for us lately.

I would be more of the opinion of missing him for the Spurs game which is the hardest one we have and aren't expecting a win. If we didn't pick up 3 points against Southampton, it would be a very poor result.

I definitely see the merits in that train of thought, but I'd rather fancy our chances against Southampton without Suarez and play Spurs with him, than vice versa. I'd go as far to say we have NO chance against Spurs without him. With him in the team, there's always a chance. I know nothing is certain but if we can't get a result at home against Southampton without him, then we're in worse shape than any of us could imagine.
