I'm pretty sure Ferguson still believes we are Rivals, recently stating that Liverpool V ManU being one of the biggest games of the season, also him using us as the bench mark of what he wants to achieve (5 CL trophys).

So Chelsea are Nottingham Forests rivals as Forest have two European Cups to Chelsea's one so there trying to catch them and Manchester City are trying to catch Aston Villa's 7 League titles and One European Cup so they are rivals too. The rivalry between United and Liverpool ended about 20 years ago as thats when we stopped challenging for Leagues, you can have your Lancashire derby rivalry if you want but you have to include Wigan, City, Bolton and Everton in that.
