Carragher is still a good asset to have in and around the squad. He can educate the young players and also do the job in games against teams of lesser quality. Can see him staying at Liverpool beyond his playing years as a coach and who knows in the future... maybe a manager
I never finish anythi

Take a bow son. Absolutely fantastic performance. He certainly should be playing regularly. He's a great defender and is ready to put his body on the line. Not only that, he's a brilliant reader of the game. This post is a text book example of what is known as "knee jerk".

Carragher doesn't do it week in week out. Our starting XI needed a rest.
So Gerrard wont be playing against Wigan on Saturday because he is playing for England on Wednesday. ok I get it...
Ha, you were suggesting Carragher was fitter because he played 2 games in a week, as if he did it week in week out.
get a grip.
You need to get a grip, there footballers being asked to do something they like and get paid well to do, not working down the mine on a 12 hour shift how can they be tired, no wonder these pampered premadonnas behave the way they do when fellers like you make excuses for them and defend them for not playing 2 or 3 games in a week.

Well positionally, he is still a great centre back. He showed that yesterday. What is he, 34? Even when he was 18, Usain Bolt he wasn't. Yet he still cleared up everything he needed to.
That kind of footballing brain could be invaluable as a defensive coach for us. yes and he is still fitter than nearly everyone of the other players including the players half his age because they cant play two games in a week while Carragher can, fact... Carragher doesn't do it week in week out. Our starting XI needed a rest. So Gerrard wont be playing against Wigan on Saturday because he is playing for England on Wednesday. ok I get it... Gerrard shouldn't play against Wigan due to his poor form all season so far!
In God we trust. Everyone else is a suspect.

Great game by Carra!
Really nice to glimpse a slice of the old him...He's been a real stalwart for the club and will join the other legends when he hangs up his boots. Great example for the kids over many years, and that was a fine performance in his twilight season...

Carragher is a legend and is a great asset to Liverpool but sadly his time has come and he needs to go, Coates needs to play ahead of him. Fantastic header to create the Suarez goal, never seen Carragher go up to corners in years so I was surprised he assisted that goal, well done to him but he no longer can cope with the pace of the game. Great servant and will be missed no doubt.
