He was a true professional and an asset to the club. Throughout the game, played well, kept Torres quiet on the whole, made one really important tackle and came forward, getting an Assist!

His interview was top notch. Said he was surprised he was playing but was happy to. But will never be knocking on the managers door as he knows what stage of his career he's in and is just happy to do what is asked of him for the club.

Well positionally, he is still a great centre back. He showed that yesterday. What is he, 34? Even when he was 18, Usain Bolt he wasn't. Yet he still cleared up everything he needed to.

That kind of footballing brain could be invaluable as a defensive coach for us.

yes and he is still fitter than nearly everyone of the other players including the players half his age because they cant play two games in a week while Carragher can, fact...

That's a very loose interpretation of what the word 'fact' means.
Central defenders don't cover as much ground as other positions. FACT
Using a sample of 1 to argue a point doesn't stand up to scrutiny FACT
Carragher is not as fit as Steven Gerrard. OPINION

See the difference?

Carragher doesn't do it week in week out. Our starting XI needed a rest.

So Gerrard wont be playing against Wigan on Saturday because he is playing for England on Wednesday. ok I get it...

Ha, you were suggesting Carragher was fitter because he played 2 games in a week, as if he did it week in week out.

get a grip.

The Sky Sports camera was on Carra at around 70 minutes in yesterday and i swear he wasn't panting for air or breathin heavy. He's a great professional and i'd happily have him at the club for 15+ years in a coaching role.
